When I am traveling off the grid, I bring a satellite locator. This Garmin inReach has served me very well. I also like to turn on tracking, so that my family can see where I’m headed regardless of whether I have cellular service. They worry about me just a little bit less, and I feel a little bit better knowing that I am not totally alone on my adventures.
